A lot of the things I’ve drawn in the last while have gotten super-posi in a way that I’m not sure I really… like. This year I’ve ended up drawing as a way to talk myself out of feeling bad or as a way to distract myself from feeling bad. What I wanted, after all, was to learn to be more honest. There it is, I guess. Working through the self-doubt is another good exercise, any way.
i like this a lot.

Got some new sharpies today! :>
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to actually scan anything for most of the summer, but I’ll be uploading some digital shots in the meantime.
THIS IS AMAZING!
[description: a cocoon made of petals from purple, red, and yellow flowers]
Scientists have recently discovered a rare, solitary type of bee that makes tiny little nests by plastering together flower petals. Each nest is a multicolored, textured little cocoon - a papier-mache husk surrounding a single egg, and protecting it while it metamorphoses into an adult.
i just want to live in a fucking cocoon made of flowers…
This is how I would like to be born.
THE BEST THINGS DON’T KEEP (by Sophie G)
[img: a piece of lavender coloured fabric with some self-styled tapestry of a jar in white with a brown lid with the following inscription on the side in orange, brown, yellow and pink: THE BEST THINGS DON’T KEEP. the fabric is fraying a bit.]
Sophie made this for me when she came to visit a week after my dad died. I swapped her for a crude tapestry boasting WITCHES AGAINST CAPITALISM. I think this is incredibly profound and applicable to so many things. I will keep it and treasure it always.
this is wonderful
[img: a watercolour and ink drawking of two legs, bare feet, standing on the balls of the feet - knees slightly bent. care has been taken to share behind the ankles and around the toes and knees to define the shape of the legs and feet. up the legs, as though they were trunks of a tree, are accessory growths of white fungi, perhaps a reishi, it is not specific. the fungi grow on the legs seemingly in random positions, above an ankle, mid-shin, behind and in front of the knee, around a thigh, and so on..]
